Mr. Phillip Ronald Shell, 48, died Friday, July 16, 2010, in Wetumpka. He graduated with honors from Birmingham Southern College with an accounting degree and served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Wilson Taylor.

He is survived by his father, James Ronald Shell and step-mother, Evelyn Lou Shell of Cheyenne, Wyn; his step-father, William Eugene Taylor of Mobile; his siblings, Thomas James Shell of Ann Arbor, Mich., Charlotte Evelyn Knowlton of Bossier City, La.. Sarah Lou Shell of Denver, Col., and Russell Joseph Taylor and Matthew Arthur Taylor, both of Mobile.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, at 9 a.m. at Unity of Birmingham. A graveside service will be held July, 24, at 3 p.m. at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, with Unity of Birmingham officiating.
