Hours after they helped give away more than 200 coats to those in need, Brewton area youth gathered on a cold night for a church service that further united the new OneBody group.

“This has been bigger than any human could plan,” First Presbyterian Church youth minister Carl McInnish said. “We’re giving the ministry to our youth.”

OneBody is a new youth group made up of teenagers from churches across Brewton. The coat drive was their first service project.

“There’s so many different people here with different gifts,” McInnish said. “We can do so many great things when we get together.”

T.R. Miller student Natalie Neal brought a message during the service, which also included singing and praise dancing.

Neal urged the youth to keep in mind who they are in Christ.

“Once you figure out the love God has for you, everything else flows,” she said. “You’ll want to glorify God with every word you speak.”
