Mr. John Finch, A native of Laurel, MS and a resident of Brewton, AL died in a Pensacola, FL hospital on Tuesday July 5, 2011. He was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church in Brewton, AL, and a member of Pipefitter’s Local 119 in Mobile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Al Finch, Sr., and Lura Lowery Finch, his brother, David (Joan) Finch, and infant daughter Lisa Annette Finch. He is survived by his wife, Mary Finch, and children Margi (Jesse) Starkey, Teresa Finch Young, John (Donna) Finch, Holly Finch, Tony (Sally) Smith, and Wanda Smith.
He is also survived by brothers Al (Frances) Finch and Ronald (Peggy) Finch. Surviving sisters are Jo Anne (Francis Lee) McIlwain and Peggy Sue (Jim) Reed. He also leaves behind nine adoring grandchildren: AJ and Josh Starkey; Victoria, Anthony, Sarah, and Mason Finch; John David Young; and Sam and Dan Smith. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2011, at 2:00 pm.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
