Guthrie had four points and four kills and Bradley had one kill. Ward had one ace and McNamara had three points.
In a game three tiebreaker, T.R. Miller trailed 5-0, 6-1, 7-2, and 8-5 before tying the game at 8-8 and rallying to get the win 15-10.
Brown had two points along with Guthrie had two points and one kill. Nelson had three kills and McNamara had five points.
“We came out hitting the ball real well in game one and put a lot of pressure on Jay’s defense,” T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “We stressed hitting the ball hard and not just tapping it over and that allowed us to get a big lead and get the 25-16 win. We’ve got in a habit of getting complacent in our middle games and not playing as well as we do in the beginning and at the end of our matches. That’s my fault as the coach and we are going to get that fixed. Because of that Jay was able to win game two but in the third set we went back to doing what we did in game one and got the 15-10 win.”

The T.R. Miller JV continued their winning ways with a 2-0 win over Excel.

In game two, Brown gave T.R. Miller and early 3-0 lead and Brundidge followed to serve T.R. Miller to a 16-3 lead. Guthrie earned points 17-25 to get the win by 19.
Guthrie had six kills with Nelson having four and Bradley three.
In game three, Brundidge had seven straight points to five T.R. Miller a 7-1 lead and Guthrie followed with eight straight to give the Lady Tigers a 15-5 lead.
Ward followed with five straight to take a 20-6 lead. Moriah Brundidge and Nelson combined for five points for the 17-point win.
“Unlike the match against Jay, I thought we played three solid games of volleyball,” White said. “Excel is a first year program and their kids are playing hard but I liked the way our girls played with a purpose and came out and got after it. Our setters did a nice job of getting the balls to our hitters and our hitters really hit the ball well tonight. This was a big area win as it makes us 3-1 in the area right now.”
