Mildred Dunaway Parker

Mrs. Mildred Dunaway Parker, 91, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 in a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native of  Atmore and a long-time resident of East Brewton. She was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church, serving as supervisor of the children’s nursery and Golden Agers Sunday school class. She was a retired saleslady from Everage’s Department Store and Robbins and McGowin’s. She was preceded in death by three brothers, W.C. Dunaway, Glen Dunaway and Roy Dunaway; and three sisters, Oma Lee Pierce, Mary Gilchrist and Gloria McAdams.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Caylor, the Rev. Larry Watts and Dr. James Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
