Brewton 13s fall to Sylacauga in semifinal round of state

The Brewton Babe Ruth 13s saw their season come to an end one game shy of the championship game Monday in Andalusia.
In the final four of the state tournament at LBW College, Brewton lost to Sylacauga 6-1 in the single elimination part of the tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Brewton opened with a 12-5 win over Covington County Saturday. In Sunday’s games, Brewton defeated Andalusia 12-1 in their first game of the day before falling to Tallassee 11-7 later in the afternoon.
After finishing pool play with a 2-1 record, Brewton qualified for the single elimination tournament Monday, but lost by five to Sylacauga.
