Elberta Cooper Laster

Mrs. Elberta Cooper Laster, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 in an Evergreen  nursing home after a brief illness.  She was a native and long time resident of Conecuh County, was of the Assembly of God faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Laster; and four grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Gwen (Leon) Lee of Lenox, Linda (Mike) Ciaurro of Loxley, James Laster, Terry Laster, Derrell Laster, Wade (Jennifer) Laster and JoAnn (Donnie) Etheridge, all of Castleberry, Barbara (David) Holt of Gulf Shores, Donnie (Shelia) Laster of Pensacola, Fla., and Randy Laster of Wewahitchka, Fla.; a sister, Euline Bolton of Hurley, Miss.; a brother, Ollie Cooper of Mobile; 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 12 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
