Homecoming activities will begin just before the school on Friday morning with all class floats reporting to the front of the school at 7 a.m. Alumni floats are asked to be in place from 8 to 9 a.m., also in front of the school.
Alumni who have returned for the festivities of the day will be treated to a special reception beginnning at 10 a.m. A special area near the band room of the school will offer a gathering place for alumni to socialize during the day.
A pep rally for students and alumni will be at 1 p.m. in the gym where the queen and court will be introduced to the students during the event. Students will be dismissed from school at 2 p.m.
The queen and her court will board convertibles and all alumni members are to be on their floats at 2:20 p.m. The parade convoy will leave the school 2:30 p.m.
The parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Evergreen Avenue behind First Baptist Church and end in front of the courthouse. Floats will not stop, but will report to the city garage area behind the fire station.
Pre-game activities begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Brewton Municipal Stadium and will include the crowing of the queen and presentation of the homecoming court. Special recognition will also be given for alumni attending the events.
Friday’s events will continue as the T.R. Miller Tigers host Cottage Hill for the homecoming game with kick off at 7 p.m.
The day of activities will end with a homecoming dance for students at the Brewton Civic Center immediately following the conclusion of the game. The dance will end at midnight.
As an added attraction for alumni and former cheerleaders at T.R. Miller High School, old cheerleading uniforms will be available for sale for $25 before and during homecoming events. Prior to Friday’s events, the uniforms will be available in the school’s office.
Tickets to Friday’s game are also available at the school.
