Joseph David Madden

Joseph David Madden, 34, of Hidden Hills Road in Gatlinburg, Tenn., died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.
Mr. Madden was born in Milton, Fla., and had resided in Brewton for a number of years, prior to moving to Gatlinburg three years ago.  He was a 1996 graduate of Christ Academy and attended  Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton.  While living in Brewton, he deeply loved working as a counselor at the YMCA.  In Gatlinburg he worked as a host at Westgate Resort.  He enjoyed body building and was an avid Alabma fan.  He was of the Christian faith.  Mr. Madden was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Birdie Mae Nelson; paternal grandfather, Carvin J. Madden; maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary J. Thompson; special aunts Jean Thompson and Janice Shultz; and uncle Lavon Thompson.
He is survived by his parents,  Donald “Donnie” & Carol Thompson Madden of Brewton; Brother – Micah Madden of Brewton; love of his life, Michelle Weaver; lifelong best friend, Gary Stuckey of Brewton; maternal aunt, Betty Ann (Carl) Baggett of Repton; maternal uncles, Donald R. Thompson of Brewton, and Wayne H. (Julia) Thompson of Castleberry; paternal uncles Danny Madden of Brewton, and John (Rachel) Madden of Brewton; special great aunt, Dell Madden of Brewton; and many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Daniels officiating.  Interment followed in Dixonville Cemetery.
