JDCC volleyball goes 1-5 in recent games

In their most recent seven games, the JDCC Lady Warhawk volleyball team went 1-5.
The Lady Warhawks lost to Wallace State-Hanceville on Thursday before going 1-4 in the Hanceville tournament Friday and Saturday.
JDCC, now 8-17 overall and 4-7 in conference play, lost to Wallace State 3-0 Thursday.
In the tournament Friday and Saturday, JDCC lost to Spartanburg Methodist College 3-1, defeated Andrews 3-1, lost to Hanceville 3-0, lost to Andrews 3-0, and lost to Gadsden State 3-1.
JDCC’s game against Lawson is now Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday. JDCC will play at Southern Union Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Home makeup games from earlier in the season will be Friday at 6 p.m. against Gulf Coast and Monday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. against the University of Mobile-JV.

WSH 3, JDCC 0
Against Hanceville on Thursday, JDCC lost 25-8, 25-11 and 25-9.
Jennifer Daniels led with four kills and Kayla White led with 22 total attacks. Shelby Weidenhamer and Tara Gafford both led with one service ace each while Weidenhamer added 12 digs. KiKi Youngblood finished with one solo block.

SMC 3, JDCC 1
Facing off against Spartanburg Methodist College in the first game of the tournament Friday, JDCC lost 3-1.
The Lady Warhawks lost 25-15 in set one, won set two 25-23, lost set three 25-19 and set four 25-21.
Daniels led with eight kills and 21 attacks. White had three service aces while Weidenhamer had 11 digs. Gafford had four solo blocks.

JDCC 3, Andrews 1
JDCC picked up their only win of the tournament in game two as they took down Andrews 3-1. JDCC won three straight sets after losing set one to get the win.
JDCC lost set one 27-25 before winning 25-11, 25-23, and 25-22.
In the win, Daniels had 10 kills and White had 25 attacks. Gafford led with four service aces and six blocks while Sarah Litteken added 16 digs.

WSH 3, JDCC 0
In their final game of the day Friday against Hanceville, JDCC lost 3-0.
The Lady Warhawks lost 25-10, 25-16 and 25-16.
Youngblood and Gafford had four kills each, Victoria Bracewell and Gafford led with 13 attacks each and Daniels had four service aces. Litteken led with eight digs while White and Gafford had two blocks each.

Andrews 3, JDCC 0
In their second game against Andrews and first game on Saturday, JDCC lost 3-0.
JDCC fell 25-22 in set one, 25-19 in set two and 25-20 in set three.
Gafford led with eight kills and was joined by Bracewell with 22 attacks. Bracewell led with three service aces while Arissa Bray and Litteken had 10 digs each. Youngblood led with two solo blocks.

Gadsden State 3, JDCC 1
In their final game, JDCC lost 3-1 to Gadsden State.
Gadsden took set one 25-22 while JDCC took set two 25-23. From there, JDCC lost 25-14 and 25-23.
Gafford led with seven kills and White led with 17 attacks and four service aces. Litteken had 18 digs while Youngblood had three solo blocks.
