Mrs. Jane Sowell Maxwell, 78, of Belleville Avenue, died Monday, October 29, 2012 in a local nursing home after a brief illness.
She was a native Thomasville and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a member of the Brewton First Baptist Church, a 1951 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and a retired realtor from Hines Realty Company,
She is survived by her husband, J.P. Sonny Maxwell of Brewton; three sons, Pat (Melba) Maxwell of Perdido, Ben (Ceclilia Knotts) Maxwell of Brewton and Hardy (Sherry) Maxwell of Pollard; one sister, Mary Ellen Avant of Prattville; one grandson, Jonathan Hunter Maxwell; four step-daughters; 14 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 1 from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
