Lawrence Smith

Mr. Lawrence Smith, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at a local hospital. He was a native of Crandon, Wis., and had been a resident of the Brewton since 1990, coming from Breaux Bridge, La.  He worked as a truck driver for J.R. Trucking Co. for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Berry of Wallace; three brothers, Arthur Smith of California, Eugene Smith of Mansfield, Ohio, and Jack Smith of Cornell, Wis.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Cooper Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
