Eunice Myers Hawthorne

Mrs. Eunice Myers Hawthorn, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a native of Esto, Fla., and was a resident of Berrydale, Fla., before moving to the Brewton area 50 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of The Nazarene in East Brewton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George William Hawthorn.
She is survived by a son, Howell (Debra) Hawthorn of Brewton; a sister, Mary Sue Long of Boston, Ga.; three grandchildren, Judson Hawthorn, Adrienne Sherrer and Lauren Hawthorn; and one great-granddaughter, Alivia Sherrer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in East Brewton with Dr. James Meadows officiating.
Burial followed at Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Jay, Fla. with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
