Mr. Darryl Anderson Nicholson, 59, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2012. He was a native of Brewton, and a former resident of Huntsville, Frankfort, Ken. and District Heights, Md., before returning to Brewton.
He was educated at Piney Grove Elementary School and Southern Normal High School. He attended trade school in Huntsville and earned a degree in brick masonry. He later drove trucks for Poole Truck Line.He attended New Life Apostolic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy of Georgetown, Ken., his children, Tomica Nickolas and Nicole Nearer of Brewton, Andy and Maiya Nicholson of Georgetown; five grandchildren; four brothers, Nathaniel (Betty) Nicholson and Randy (Tonya) Nicholson of Brewton, and Christopher (Viembre) Nicholson and Jackie Nicholason of Frankfort; several other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at Greater Pine Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Straughn officiating.
Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
