James Wesley Taylor

Mr. James Wesley Taylor, 72, of Appleton Road died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Conecuh County, and a long time resident of Brewton. He was a member of East Brewton First United Methodist Church, a graduate of Lyeffion High School, was a retired diesel mechanic with Otis Engineering and a truck driver with Genie Truck Lines. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Percy and Jennie Pearl Taylor; and two brothers, Elias Elmer Taylor and Duke Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson Taylor of Brewton; four sons, Chris (Kristi) Taylor, Ricky (Michelle) Taylor, and Mark (Sabrina) Taylor all of Brewton, and Steven (Kim) Taylor of East Brewton; three daughters, Tracey (Chad) Still, Anne Marie Taylor, and Erica (Chris) Emmons, all of Brewton; three brothers, Wayne Taylor of South Carolina, Lynn Taylor of Evergreen, and Robert Taylor of Arizona; seven sisters, Elouise Sager of Montgomery, Mary Brown, Elaine Sims, Belle Marie Godwin and Debra Ann Gray, all of Evergreen, Rachel Horton of Birmingham, and Louise Sims of Castleberry;  20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed in Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
