Douglas ‘Doug’ Cooper

Mr. Douglas “Doug” Cooper, 72, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in a Birmingham hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native and life-long resident of Castleberry, and was a retired truck driver with AAA Cooper Transportation. He attended the Appleton Assembly of God Church and he was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Beulah Cooper; and his daughter, Sharon “Ruby” Williamson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Morris Cooper of Castleberry; a brother, Dewey (Lois) Cooper of Brewton; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery in the Appleton community with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Please share your memories and condolences with the family at www.craversfh.com.
