TRM Lady Tigers basketball to play at Straughn Thursday night in sub-regional round of class 3A state playoffs

T.R. Miller’s Lady Tiger basketball team will play in the sub-regional round of the class 3A AHSAA state playoffs tonight at Straughn. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
The Lady Tigers qualified for the sub-regional round last Thursday as they defeated Bayside Academy 36-33 in overtime to advance to the area finals. The Lady Tigers lost to Cottage Hill Saturday, but still advanced to the next round of games.
With a win Thursday, the Lady Tigers will advance to the South Regionals in Dothan.
In the regionals in Dothan, the T.R. Miller/Straughn winner will play the Slocomb/Abbeville winner on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m.
The Opp/Cottage Hill winner will take on the Barbour County/Daleville winner at 6 p.m. later that night.
The winners from Thursday’s games will play for the regional championship on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3:40 p.m. The regional winner will advance to the state Final Four in Birmingham.
