JDCC softball to take on ranked teams in upcoming tourney

The Jefferson Davis Community College will play in the Beach Classic Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Panama City.
JDCC will begin play Friday at 3 p.m. against Gulf Coast Community College. The Lady Warhawks will play again at 5 p.m. against Georgia Perimeter Community College.
Tourney play for the Lady Warhawks will resume on Saturday when they take on Wallace-Dothan Community College at 1 p.m. At 5 p.m., the Lady Warhawks will take on the defending national champion Chattanooga State Community College.
On Sunday, JDCC will begin play at 9 a.m. against Gadsden State Community College. At 11 a.m., the Lady Warhawks will take on defending Alabama state champion Wallace-Hanceville. Currently, Wallace-Hanceville is ranked as the No. 3 team in the nation.
JDCC is currently 2-4 this season. The Lady Warhawks were scheduled to play in a makeup game Wednesday at home against Pensacola State College. Game time is set for 1 and 3 p.m. in Brewton.
