Bishop State drops JDCC basketball 79-62

After winning their second game of the season Monday at home against Enterprise, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team dropped back in the loss column Thursday night at Bishop State.
JDCC was outscored 34-31 in the first half and 45-31 in the second half to take a 79-62 loss and fall to 2-20 overall and to 2-10 in conference play.
Chris Oden led JDCC with 17 points and Adrian Rich followed with 15 points. Fletcher Forte chipped in eight points and Matt Bass had seven.
Anthony Bell added six points in the loss while Keaynon Gulley had three points. Dee Jay Braggs, Devonte Pope, Cordarrio Hasewood all had two points each. Rich led with three rebounds while Pope led with three assists.
The Warhawks shot 6-for-12 from the free throw line while Bishop was 15-for-20.
JDCC will play at Faulkner State Monday and will return home for their final game of the season Thursday when they host Wallace-Selma. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
