A fund has been established to help a woman whose house burned in a fire on Sowell Road last week.
Sudan Nelson said his mother, Jessie Page, suffered burns over 35 percent of her body in the fire.
She remains at the burn center at USA Medical Center, where she is improving, Nelson said. He expects her to spend several months there.
“She’s a good person,” Nelson said. “She just needs all the help she can get right now.”
Nelson attends First St. Siloam Baptist Church. Nelson was living with her at the Sowell Road house but was not home at the time of the fire.
Anyone interested in donating can give to the fund established for Jessie Page at Regions Bank.
