WSN JV baseball goes 2-0, TRM goes 0-2 in tourney Saturday

The W.S. Neal JV baseball team went 2-0 in their JV tournament Saturday while the T.R. Miller Tigers went 0-2.
W.S. Neal took down Flomaton 12-0 and Excel 10-1 to improve to 6-1-1 this season.
T.R. Miller lost to UMS-Wright 13-0 and 7-0 to fall to 0-4 this season.
Tim McDonald took the loss in game one and James Peach took the loss in game two.
No other stats for T.R. Miller were known as of press time.
For W.S. Neal against Flomaton, Miles Powell earned the win on the mound. Powell went five innings and struck out three, walked three and allowed no runs.
Dakota Graves, Mike Williams and Powell had one hit each while Malcolm Hawthorne, Taylor Elliott and Brandon Carmichael all had two hits each.
Hawthorne, Elliott, Powell and Carmichael all had doubles. Justin Sessions, Sam Frazier, Hawthorne, Williams, Powell and Carmichael all had one RBI each while Elliott had three RBIs.
Against Excel, Jared Cooper earned the win on the mound. Cooper went 3 1/ 3 innings and allowed one earned run, walked six and struck out five.
Graves was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Cooper was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Jones had one RBI and Hawthorne was 1-for-2. Elliott had one RBI and Williams was 1-for-1 with a homerun and three RBIs. Carmichael was 1-for-1 with two RBIs.
