JDCC baseball ends losing streak with 8-0 win at Huntingdon

Jefferson Davis Community College’s Warhawk baseball team ended their six-game losing streak Monday at Huntingdon with an 8-0 win. The two teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but rain in the area cancelled the second game of the day. With the win, JDCC improved to 10-17 overall.
In the win Monday, JDCC pounded out 12 hits to help them take the win.
Trae Walsingham, Brandon Ray, Dillan Schaniel, Matthew Holmes, Mark Humphreys, Daniel Dunnam and Michael Fox all had a hit in the win. Hunter Myrick went 3-for-4 and Alex Jones was 2-for-3.
Walsingham, Myrick and Logan Hill all had two RBIs each while Schaniel and Fox had one each.
Michael Yarborough, Tyler Henry and Tyler Howell all combined for the win on the mound.
The trio went seven innings and allowed three hits, no runs, walked none and struck out 11.
