BPD: Investigations end with arrests

Following weeks of investigations into illegal drug activity, members of the Brewton Police Department’s narcotics division reported making several arrests.
The first arrest came on March 2 as investigators observed an illegal drug transaction at a Colonial Manor Hotel room. The room, occupied by Keith Anderson Squaire of Pensacola, Fla., and Evett Denise Gray of Brewton, was also occupied by two small children.
Upon a search of the room, agents located crack/cocaine, marijuana and several items of paraphernalia used to distribute drugs, officials said.
Both Squaire and Gray were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested following recent investigations were: James Tripp of Fairhope, charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Devante Section of Evergreen, charged with unlawful distribution and possession of a controlled substance – crack/cocaine, and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana; Isiah Maxwell of Evergreen, charged with unlawful distribution and possession of a controlled substance-crack/cocaine and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
