TRM and WSN JV baseball teams split in East Brewton Thursday

After meeting in Brewton on Monday and the W.S. Neal Eagle JV baseball team earning a sweep over the T.R. Miller Tigers, the two teams met in East Brewton Thursday and came away with a split.
T.R. Miller took game one over the Eagles 3-2 while W.S. Neal rallied in game two for a 13-2 win. With the split, W.S. Neal improved to 10-4-1 while T.R. Miller went to 2-7 overall.
In game one for the Tigers, Tim McDonald was the winning pitcher. McDonald struck out two and allowed seven hits and two walks.
Hunter Harp had two RBIs and McDonald had one RBI and two hits. Jonathan Lucas had and Ethan Bollenbacher had one hit each.
For W.S. Neal, Colton Morris took the loss on the mound going 3 1/3 innings. Morris allowed four hits, three runs, two earned, walked and struck out three.
Jared Cooper also pitched and allowed no runs, no hits, walked one and struck out two.
Dakota Graves and Miles Powell led the Eagles with two hits each.
In game two, Lane Chavers earned the win on the mound for the Eagles going four innings and allowing no runs, no walks and struck out four. Dalton Shell went one inning and allowed two runs and walked one.
At the plate, Graves, Rob Jones, Nick Laster, Alex O’Keane, Mike Williams and Brandon Carmichael all had hits. Jones and Carmichael both had a double each while Jones led with two RBIs.
For T.R. Miller, Lane Clark took the loss. Jake Najor and Hunter Harp had two hits each. Najor and Brooks Brown had one RBI each.
