James Henry ‘Jim’ Martin

Mr. James “Jim” Henry Martin, Jr., 70, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 in a Pensacola, Fla., after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and was retired from the shipping department at Container Corporation with 46 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, June Willis Martin of Brewton; a son, Zachery (Andrea) Martin of Brewton; two stepsons, Mark Deal and David Deal, both of Ohio; two brothers, J.W. Martin of Sandiego, Calif. and David (Rogene) Martin of Brewton; one sister, Susan (Jim) Marresstte of Huntsville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a number of other nieces and nephews, including Sthepanie, Rebekah and Stephen.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 4, from 1 until 2. p.m. at Cedar Hill Baptist Church in East Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Armstrong and the Rev. Johnny Lambeth officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
