Mrs. Virginia Ann Williamson Lynn,70, of Cantonment, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 in a Pensacola, Fla. hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and a long time resident of Brewton, and East Brewton, before moving to Cantonment, in 2001. She was a member of East Side Assembly of God Church in Cantonment, a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, a former employee of First National Bank, and Hainje’s Furniture, and retired office manager from Alfa Insurance. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis B. Lynn, and a brother, Larry Williamson.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Cumbie of Cantonment; two daughters, Veronica (Jerry) Smith of Daphne, and Connie (John) Claudio of Florala; three grandchildren, Austin Smith, Christopher Lynn and Jennifer Keen; and one great-grandchild, Pierce.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 16, at 12 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Smith officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
