Sarah Ann Wigley Sasser

Mrs. Sarah Ann Wigley Sasser, 85, of Virginia Drive, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Birmingham, and a former resident of Dozier, where she graduated from Dozier High School. She lived in Andalusia for 16 years before moving to Brewton. Mrs. Sasser was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church, a member of the 3:00 P.M. McDonald’s Coffee Club and a home maker.
She is survived by a son, Mike (Ann Marie) Sasser of Brewton; two daughters, Cindy (Mark D.) Sanders of Nashville, Tenn., and Mitzi (Mike) Mickolas of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Shane Sasser, Scott (Carrys) Sasser, Jill Goodwin, Ethan Goodwin, Dylan Sanders, Sophie Sanders, and Kate (Jamey) Sanders Roberts; and two great-grandchildren, Marion Sasser and Frances Marie “Ree” Sasser.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bell Chapel at Brewton First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Fitts officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
