Free movie planned Friday night

The City of Brewton Parks and Recreation department wil be setting up the big screen Friday as the free movie presentations continue.

the July 19th show will be “the Hunger Games” – a family friendly movie made wildly popular through published books by Suzanne Collins.

In the film, the heroine Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to compete.

The film stars Stanley Tucci, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth with a host of other young actors and actresses.

Movie fans are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and their favorite snacks to the showing at Dogwood Hills.

Movie time will be at dusk — approximately 8:15 p.m.
