Shots fired at local business

Brewton Police Department officers and investigators are still unraveling details in an incident on South Boulevard that sent one man to the hospital.

A call to Brewton Police Department was made concerning shots being fired at Escambia Vault and Monument on South Boulevard just before 11 a.m. Officials believe the injuries sustained by the victim were self-inflicted.

Although the name of the injured individual was not released by officials, it was confirmed that none of the current employees at the business were injured or involved in the incident.
