While some counties have closed roads, the state has also deemed portions of roads — including four in Covington County — impassable.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for all state, U.S. and Interstate highways and bridges across the entire state. Road conditions in most parts of Alabama are hazardous, and drivers should avoid travel until conditions improve.

All bridges should be considered icy, and drivers should use extreme caution when crossing bridges.

The following roadways have been deemed closed (physical barriers are in place) or impassable (roadways cannot handle traffic but physical barriers are not in place) by ALDOT:

• Coffee, Alabama 125 from milepoint 0 to 19; Alabama 189 from milepoint 0 to 29; Alabama 87 from milepoint 34 to 49, all impassable

• Covington, Alabama 12/U.S. 84, milepoint 119 to 128; Alabama 15/U.S. 29 milepoint 46 to 61; and Alabama 9/U.S. 331 milepoint 23 to 34, all impassable

• Crenshaw, Alabama 10, Alabama 106, Alabama 141, Alabama 15/U.S. 29, Alabama 97, impassable
