EB Mariners rally past Brewton Dodgers Thursday

The East Brewton Mariners baseball team rallied from a 7-2 deficit after two innings to defeat the Brewton Dodgers Thursday night in Brewton.

The Dodgers led the Mariners 3-2 after one inning and 7-2 after two innings. From there, the Mariners scored nine unanswered to get the win by four. The Mariners plated one in the third, five in the fourth and three more in the fifth to seal the win.

At the plate for the Mariners, Jordan Sims had one RBI while Jordan Crane had three hits, two RBIs and stole seven bases.

Gavin Leggett added a homerun, three RBIs and stole five bases while Dustin Godwin added a hit and two RBIs.

Walker Hoomes chipped in one hit, one RBI and had two stolen bases. Gaige Moulder had three stolen bases and Ke’Shon Paul had two.

Gunner Parker had one RBI and one stolen base, Langham Parr had three stolen bases along with Caleb Peters who had one RBI.

Sims and Crane pitched in the win with Crane being the pitcher of record. The duo allowed seven runs on four hits, struck out eight, walked five and allowed two earned runs while hitting two batters in five innings.
