Friday and Saturday
Brewton beat Covington County 7-1 and lost 3-2 last Friday. No other stats from the games were known as of press time.
In a tournament this past weekend in Goshen, Brewton beat Greenville 4-3 behind Dalton Shell’s 3-hit pitching performance. Shell gave up three runs, all in the last inning, and all were unearned before giving way to Darby Black who got a strike out and ground out with men on first and third with one out to get the save. Shell also led the way with three hits, including a double, with Damion Williams and Tyler Joyner adding two hits, while Derrick Barton and Dylan Godwin added doubles, with Chris Jones, Mike Williams, Dakota Graves, and Darby Black adding singles in the victory. Defensively, the Dawgs turned three double plays to thwart big innings for Greenville.

Dawgs 18 Rehobeth 6
After falling behind 4-0 early, the Dawgs scored three in the third inning with the big blow being a 2-run double off the bat of Damion Williams.
Darby Black picked up a two-out RBI with a single in the inning as well. The Dawgs tacked on six runs in the fourth inning, all with two out as Damion Williams again came through with the big hit, a two-run triple. Joshua Winton went the full six innings before time expired as he gave up six runs on six hits while striking out 11. Williams and Black each had three hits while Winton had two, and Barton, Joyner, Godwin, Jones, Shell, Trevaris Groomes, and Dakota Graves all chipped in with one hit each.

Greenville 16 Dawgs 5
In the third game of the day, Greenville scored early and often in the 16-5 victory over the Dawgs. Sam Frazier was the pitcher of record giving up nine runs (six earned) on nine hits in three-plu innings of work. Mike Williams, Dakota Graves, and Caleb Winton all pitched in the loss as well. At the plate for Brewton, Damion Williams led the way once again going 2-for-2, while Barton, Godwin, Mike Williams, and Sam Frazier added singles.
