Locals win Alabama South Fishers of Men tournaments

Fishers of Men, Alabama South held its final tournament of 2014 in Demopolis, Alabama on Demopolis Lake.
All of the boats came in about the same time and in the end Sammy Thomas and Lavon White took first place and are the first three-peat point’s champions for Alabama South. They weighed in 5 fish that weighed a total of 14.22 pound. They caught their fish on Carolina rigs, shakey heads and football jigs. They had a limit by 8:15 that morning and their big fish came on a white buzz bait.
Glen Frasher and Steve Pierce had five fish that weighed 13.15 pounds and had the big fish of the day that weighed 4.27 pound. Their big fish came on a buzz bait.
Runner-up point’s champions Michael Stewart and Thomas Pugh had five fish that weighed in at 12.51 pounds. At the end of the day everyone had a limit and the total of the 15 fish was 40.13 pounds.

Connor Huskey and Danny Parker recently won Alabama South’s Fishers of Men Legacy tournament.
In a recent fishing tournament, Sammy Thomas and Lavon White caught five fish that weighed 22.02 pounds. Another local team, Brian and Kim Moye, had a good day as well. They had five fish that weighed 14.78 pounds.
There were nine teams fishing and they all brought in a limit of fish. Total weight of all fish were 115.23 pounds.
