Sallie Mae Roche

Sallie Mae Roche (nee Odom), peacefully passed into Heaven at the age of 89 on
Tues., Dec. 30, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Eric Visher and Lottie Mae (Johnson) Odom. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard E. Roche.
She was a beloved mother of 10 children, Cheryl Verel, Richard C. Roche, Bennison Roche (Donna), Kathleen L. Loesch, Thomas E. Roche (Lisa), Carole Ann Penning (Paul), John P. Roche (Jill), Teresa Lynn Roche, Patrick A. Roche and Michael W. Roche.
She is survived by four brothers and three sisters, Autrey Odom, Billy Ray Odom, James (Pete) Odom, Ronnie Odom, Irma Jean Westcott, Delores Rawls and Charlotte Marie Odom.
She joins her siblings Earnest, Ella Mae, Johnnie, Cecil, Shirley and Burton in eternal rest.
A cherished mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, she was a woman of strong faith. She loved her family and enriched each of their lives with her kind words, generosity and wonderful smile.
Funeral services are planned for Tues., Jan. 6, at New Bethlehem Baptist Church (Crossroads). Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service at noon.
The family is being served by Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or National Association for the Mentally Ill. (NAMI)
