JDCC softball gets seventh straight win

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks softball team outscored Black Hawk College 17-0 in two games Sunday to sweep a doubleheader and pick up their seventh straight win.
The Lady Warhawks won 9-0 in game one and 8-0 in game two to move to 13-13 overall this season.

Game one: JDCC 9, Black Hawk College 0
JDCC Lady Warhawk pitcher Kaitlin Hadaway did her job in the pitching circle and the bats for the Warhawks came alive as JDCC won 9-0 in game one.
Hadaway went the complete game in the circle and pitched a one hitter for the Lady Warhawks. Hadaway went five innings and allowed one hit, one walk, and struck out nine in the win.
At the plate, Hannah Brake had a double and a homerun and four RBIs while Jordan Swindle and Alicia Richardson both had a double each to lead in the offense.
Brake went 2-for-3 in the win while Swindle was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Richardson was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Paige Wooley was a perfect 3-for-3 for JDCC while Chelsey Ramer was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Shaquana Jones went 2-for-2 and Moriah Brundidge had one RBI in the win.
JDCC led Black Hawk 4-0 after three innings before plating five in the fourth to get the win in five innings.

Game two: JDCC 8, Black Hawk College 0
In game two, JDCC broke a scoreless tie after four innings with one run in the fifth and seven runs in the sixth inning to blank Black Hawk 8-0.
Brake was the pitcher of record for JDCC as she went five innings and allowed three hits, no runs, walked two and struck out four.
Hadaway went the final inning and allowed one hit while striking out one.
At the plate for the Lady Warhawks, Brake and Ramer had a double each while Katlin Bryars led with two doubles and two RBIs. Brake had two RBIs and Ramer had one.
Brake went 3-for-4 while Swindle was 2-for-3 and Bryars was 2-for-3.
Wooley, Audrey Hamric, Savannah Allen and Ramer all had one hit each.
Hamric had one RBI along with Allen, Ramer and Richardson.
