Satsuma hands WSN softball area loss

In an area game Tuesday at Satsuma, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles lost 6-1 to drop to 5-12 overall and to 1-2 in area play.
WSN scored one run on four hits and made five errors in the loss while Satsuma had seven hits and committed only two errors.
WSN’s lone run came in the fifth inning while Satsuma scored two each in the first, second and sixth innings.
Haleigh Dubose took the loss in the pitching circle for WSN as she went six innings and allowed seven hits, six runs, two earned, walked three and struck out one.
Karissa Johnson, Dubose, Adria Barnett and Brianna Pugh all had one hit each in the loss. Erin Hartsel had the lone RBI.
The JV Lady Eagles suffered a loss Tuesday in their final game of the season. No stats or game information was known as of press time.
