TRM’s Chardian Johnson plays in North-South all-star basketball game

Rising T.R. Miller senior Chardian Johnson helped lead the South All-Star basketball team to a 72-65 win over the North All-Stars Wednesday night in Montgomery in the North-South all-star basketball game.
The game was played at Alabama State University’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
It was the South’s first win in the game since 2002.
Despite the win for the South team, the North leads the series 46-26.
The South led the North 19-18 at the end of the first quarter before using an 18-11 run in the second to hold a 37-29 lead at the half.
In the second half, the North outscored the South 36-35, but the South held on for the seven-point win.
Johnson had five points in the win.
