Where is Woodrow Judge "Token" Allen? Authorities are still not sure. But that didn't stop a jury from convicting Bruce Edward Day in an incident that happened just before Allen's disappearance.
Bruce Edward Day was brought to trial on two counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle earlier this week.
The jury found him guilty of reckless endangerment.
Sarah Kersey, 16, was in the car with Allen when the incident occurred. Authorities had charged Day on one count of attempted murder against Allen and another against Kersey.
On the afternoon of Oct. 28, Kersey testified that the driver's side window of the car they were driving was shattered by gunfire as they were riding past where Day was standing.
Kersey said the two sped up the car, but got "bogged down in some sand" and fled the car on foot.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office investigated the complaint and interviewed Allen on two separate occasions after the incident.
Only a month later, Allen was reported missing.
Allen, a 25-year-old white male, was last seen walking through a stretch of woods between his house in Nokomis and a friend's house in a nearby trailer park. According to Sheriff Tim Hawsey, it is a walk Allen took on numerous occasions.
Hawsey said Allen's mother contacted the sheriff's office on Monday, Dec. 17. She told officials that she had not seen her son since Thursday, Dec. 13.
Allen lives on Ammons Road, which travels along the Escambia and Baldwin county lines. He lives on a section of that road that is in Escambia County.
