Mr. Amos Doran Wilson, 84, of Appleton Road, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 in a Milton, Fla. hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from T.R. Miller Mill Company with 35 years service.
He is survived by three sons, Larry Wilson and Mike Wilson, both of Brewton and Lamar Wilson of Atmore; one brother, Cecil Wilson of East Brewton; four sisters, Grace Glen of Mobile, Juanita Hart of Brewton, Voncile Hall of Tampa, Fla. and Melba Beard of Cuthbert, Ga. and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Middleton officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
