Mr. Arthur Lee "Woody" Woodson, 63, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002. He was a native of Boston, Mass. and had lived in this area for the past 25 years. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. and was retired from the city of New Orleans Police Dept. He was a member of Garland Masonic Lodge 684 and was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Woodson of Andalusia; three sons, Wade Woodson, Michael Woodson and Wayne Woodson; one step-son, Robert Gibson of Evergreen; one step-daughter, Darlene Singleton of Brewton; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Ray Singleton officiating. Burial followed at Elim Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Lonnie Barnes, Charles Feigel, Michael Woodson, Rick Duhon, Kris Cherry and Wayne Woodson.
