Mr. H.B. Boyd, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 in a Gadsden nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Clayton and a former resident of Sylvester, Ga. before moving to Castleberry in 1956. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the construction industry. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Boyd Ryals and Willie Bell Boyd.
He is survived by his daughter, Vernease McGinitie of Brewton; three sisters, Emma Smith of Montgomery, Arrie Lou Hinson of Ga. and Susie Belle Adams of Clayton; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
