Mr. Joe Sheppard, 88, died October 15, 2002 at a local hospital. He was a native of Conecuh County and a member of First St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Haley; two daughters, Carrie Jackson and Sonia Grace, all of Brewton; two sisters, Carrie Bell Smiley of Hattisburg, Pa. and Daisy Gentry of Ogden, Utah; one brother, David Sheppard of Oakland, Calif. and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at First St. Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. H.G. King officiating. Burial followed at Hamden Ridge Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
