Mrs. Mavis Booker McCraney, 73, of Rock Creek Community at Wing, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2002 in a Pensacola, Fla. hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Santa Rosa County, a life long resident of Rock Creek, was a member of Rock Creek Apostolic Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Lee McCraney of Rock Creek; her son, Rocky Lucas of Rock Creek; three daughters, Joan Holley of Baker, Fla., Linda Vaughn of Rock Creek and Ann Allen of Wing; one brother, Calvin Booker of Wing; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at Rock Creek Apostolic Church with Rev. Barry Owens officiating. Burial followed at Rock Creek Apostolic Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
