Mrs. Rosa Corene Sheffield, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002 at her residence. She was a native of Allen, Ala. and had been a resident of Flomaton since 1952, coming from Jackson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton.
She is survived by one son, Eudell Sheffield of Bay Minette; three daughters, Doris Opdyke of Pensacola, Ouida Turner of Brewton and Ethelclair Weaver of Biloxi, Miss.; a sister-in-law, Frances Sheffield of Jay; four brothers, Grady Duke, Lavert Duke, Robert Duke and Arnold Duke; two sisters, Mary Lou Reeves and Anna Gollott; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tom Sheffield, Doug Sheffield, Eddie Turner, Kevin Weaver, Donn Scott and Richard Armstrong.
