Mrs. Alice Catherine Weaver, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002 in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Brewton. She was a graduate of T.R. Miller High School and of Troy State University. She taught elementary school fro 27 years in Escambia County and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brewton, Alpha Delta Kappa, Honorary Teacher Sorority, a lifetime member and past president of the Alpha Rho Sorority Retired Teacher Association. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Busey Jr. and two sisters, Azaline Buckner and Marbel Curry.
She is survived by her husband, Harry L. Weaver of Brewton; her children, Harry Weaver of Albuquerque, N.M., Elaine Weaver Sites of Pensacola and Martha W. Corbin of Brewton; one brother, Claudine C. Brooks of Brewton; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Daniel and High Priest Ray Langham officiating. Pallbearers were Earl H. Weaver, Richard H. Sites, Robert K. Sites III, Frank Reid, Harry T. Weaver and Kenneth Corbin.
