Mrs. Margaret Parker Ferry, 88, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 in a Pensacola nursing home. She was a life long resident of McDavid and was a member of McDavid Methodist Church since 1925. She was a retired postmaster of the McDavid Post Office. She was also part owner of J.R. Parker's Store in McDavid.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Wurst of Bay Minette; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Janet Lee officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Alco with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were J. Herbert McCurdy, Coy W. Register, W.R. Cowling, Cecil Driver, Jim Hildreth and Jackie Godwin. Honorary pallbearers were Floye Brewton, Bill van Merkestyn, Sam Ptomey and J.A. Wurst Sr.
