JDCC names Hall new dean of instruction

Jefferson Davis Community College President Dr. Susan McBride last week named Kathleen Hall the college's new dean of instruction.
Hall, who has held the position on an interim basis for the past year, will begin her official duties in January.
During her tenure at JDCC, Hall has had a variety of job responsibilities and titles, including business and economics instructor, business and social science division chair, associate dean of academic education, associate director of Atmore campus and Fountain and Holman sites, director of training for business and industry, director of special programs, adult education supervisor, and director of instructional support. As director of training for business and industry (TBI), Hall has promoted the college's programs and courses to local business and industry leaders and developed individualized instruction to meet company needs.
Hall earned a bachelor's degree in special education from Auburn University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of South Alabama. She completed additional graduate courses in business and economics, adult education, vocational education, and professional education.
She and her husband, James, live in Atmore. They have two sons, Johnathan, who is completing graduate studies at Auburn University; and Jeremy, a senior at Huntingdon College.
