Two separate burglaries at Pollard-McCall Junior High School in recent weeks led to the same house according to Escambia County law enforcement officials who arrested two adults who they believe were involved in the crimes.
Bobby Lee Conner, 21-year-old male of 3726 Old Hwy. 31, Flomaton was arrested by ECSO officials and charged with burglary, third degree and theft of property, second degree. Eubie Alexander Kennedy, 18-year-old male of 2420 Cary St., Flomaton was arrested and charged with burglary, third degree.
The first burglary at the school occurred late at night on Sunday, Dec. 8. The second took place during the early morning hours of Thursday, Dec. 12.
According to ECSO officials, several items were stolen from the K-8 school during the first of the burglaries. Among the items taken were a television, a computer printer, other computer accessories and several food items such as chips, snacks and frozen pizza.
Sheriff Tim Hawsey said evidence left at the scene of the crimes led investigators to the house at 3726 Old Hwy. 31 where more undisclosed evidence was confiscated and the two arrests made.
Officials secured a search warrant to look inside the house where they allegedly found the additional evidence.
In addition to the two arrested, officials said two juveniles were believed to have participated in the burglaries and were interviewed by sheriff office investigators. Hawsey said charges will be filed in juvenile court against the two juveniles.
Both Conner and Kennedy were placed in the Escambia County Detention Center and have since been released on bond. Conner's bond was set at $12,000 and Kennedy's was set at $5,000.
