Mr. Philip Michael "Mike" Bell Sr., 52, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Flomaton and a resident of Century since 1990. He was an employee of International Paper Co. for the past 32 years and attended a Protestant church. He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Gashet Bell.
He is survived by his mother, Genevieve Bell of Century; his girlfriend, Jean Stokes of Century; his son, Philip Michael Bell Jr. of Pensacola; his daughter, Anna Michele Bell of Pensacola; a sister, Becky Bell of Flomaton and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Stokes officiating. Burial followed at Hollywood Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jim Hual, Joe Greer, Richard Rathsack, Terry Elkins, Daryl Fore and Tommy Steeley. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Powell, Frankie McGill, Russell Hall, Jerry Music and Lee Schrader.
