Mr. Alton Nobles, 70, died at a Bronx veteran's medical facility. He was formerly of Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Nobles; two daughters, Gwendolyn D. Nobles of Franklin, N.J. and Belinda Nobles of Baltimore; four grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Roy Nobles, Mattie Richardson, Henry Nobles, Annie R. McCarn, Novella Williams, Sherman Nobles, Marie Wilson and Robert Nobles and other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 28, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Baptist Hill Baptist Church with Rev. S.C. Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
